Star Wars Battlefront Trailer and Panel at Celebration Anaheim

Friday morning, Star Wars Celebration Anaheim was kicked off by the Star Wars Battlefront panel, featuring a new video of the game and a question and answer session with the developers from DICE. Doug Chiang, concept artist from Lucasfilm, also attended.

To help conceptualize the game, DICE was invited to Lucasfilm to photograph props from the archives. They even took a field trip to the redwood forest to look at the trees that influenced Return of the Jedi’s Endor moon.

Battlefront will include both first and third person perspectives to play the game. Fan favorite characters such as Darth Vader and Boba Fett along with Saga heroes will appear in the game. The planet Sullust, which appears in the trailer and is known to fans from the Expanded Universe (now Legends), will be one of the  explorable worlds.

Star Wars Battlefront will be available on November 17, 2015. Pre-orders are available now and with the pre-order comes the ability to play the Battle of Jakku a week early.

The panel wrapped up with the DICE team giving away three PS4 consoles in special Battlefront packaging. And, finally, they showed the trailer a last time. The trailer is now available from the EAStarWars YouTube feed, which we’ve linked below.
