Walmart Exclusive Black Series Scarif Stormtrooper

We stopped in Walmart again this morning to see if any new toys had been stocked since last night but didn’t find anything. We did, however, notice that the TV near the entrance was playing commercials for the new Rogue One toys, including an add for an exclusive Black Series 6″ Scarif Stormtrooper.

Photos of a Scarif Stormtrooper surfaced along with Director Krennic earlier in the month and they are part of the second wave of Rogue One Black Series figures. The Scarif Trooper pictured in the ad at Walmart appears to have red armor on his right arm but none of the blue deco across the chest plate that the wave 2 figure seen previously has.

YakFace.com tweeted the photo below (left) of a find of wave 2 Black Series figures in Japan. If you notice the Scarif Trooper in the photo, there is a paint variant from the Walmart advertisement (right) we photographed this morning.

YakFace also shared a Twitter post from PageWagner4 linking to Walmart’s Facebook page where they have a video of the Scarif Troopers. At the end of the video you can see a Trooper with what appears to be the same paint decoration as the in-store advertisement.

Our Walmart only had new figures in a cardboard aisle display and there were no Scarif Troopers in that display. We also didn’t find any stocked in the regular toy aisle so it doesn’t appear the figure has released yet.

Update: After looking at the packaging photos of the Scarif Trooper from wave 2, and the 3.75″ figure that comes in the vs pack with Moroff, the blue deco appears to denote a squad leader while no blue is a regular trooper. It almost seems backwards that the squad leader would be the regular release while the basic trooper is an exclusive but that appears to be the case.
