Topps Jedi Legacy

Topps has just announced their next card set, and first for 2013: Jedi Legacy.  The 90 card set will have 45 cards dedicated to Anakin Skywalker and 45 to Luke Skywalker, to tell each of their stories.  The release will be exclusive to hobby stores.

In a first for a Star Wars set, Jedi Legacy will have relic cards featuring a swatch of Jabba’s Sail Barge sail (1:14 boxes), or fur from Chewbacca (1:30) or one of three Ewoks; Wicket, Logray or Teebo (1:5).

While there are no sketch cards this time around, autographs are back and there are 20 different signatures that you can collect.  There are also four levels of parallels; Blue (1 per pack), Magenta (1:6), Green (1:24) and Gold (10 per card).

Jedi Legacy boxes should all have 2 hits per box.  Every box will have a Film Cel card with either a single, double or triple cel.  The second hit should be either an autograph, relic or printing plate.

There will be 9 Influencers (1:2) and 15 Connections (1:2) cards that will feature characters that impacted either Luke or Vader or were involved in both of their stories.

One set of chase cards to watch will be The Circle is Now Complete which will consist of 12 die-cut cards that, when placed together, form a circle.  An as yet unannounced promotion will be offered to obtain the center piece to this chase set.

Jedi Legacy packs will have 8 cards and boxes will have 24 packs.  Estimated retail is approximately $100 per box and it’s estimated for a May 2013 release.
