Republic Gunship Announced As Future LEGO UCS Set

LEGO held a fan vote in January to pick an upcoming Star Wars UCS set with the three choices being a Republic Gunship, the Nebulon B Escort Frigate, and the TIE Bomber. The votes have now been counted and the winner is the Republic Gunship!

The Nebulon B came in second with the TIE Bomber third. In the announcement on the LEGO Ideas website, no release information was given but that designers needed to watch Attack of the Clones to “refresh their memories.” That implies a prequel trilogy version of the ship rather than from The Clone Wars.
