The Vader Case Project Raised Over $25,000 for Make-A-Wish

The Collector’s Social Room at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim was host to multiple podcasts and collecting panels during the course of the weekend but perhaps the most important event was The Vader Case Project fundraiser for Make-A-Wish.  Over 20 artists and collectors were invited to customize and decorate vintage Kenner Darth Vader collector cases that would be auctioned off during the weekend with proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Over $25,000 was collected during the event last weekend making it a very successful fundraiser.  Artists such as Spencer Brinkerhoff, Denise Vasquez, Chris Trevas and Randy Martinez were joined by collectors and fans Gus Lopez, Jeff Correll, Amy Sjoberg and others to fashion very unique pieces of art.  Three of the more popular cases were Curt Hanks’ McQuarrie inspired sculpture, Amy Sjoberg’s “Sunset on Endor” and Bruce White’s Hildebrandt tribute.
