ILM LogoAlthough Star Wars: The Clone Wars was shut out in several categories at last night’s Annie Awards, Industrial Light & Magic pulled in one win for Animated Effects in a Live Action Production.  Jerome Platteaux, John Sigurdson, Ryan Hopkins, Raul Essig and Mark Chataway were honored for The Avengers.

ILM was also up for the same award for Battleship along with being nominated for Character Animation in a Live Action Production, also for The Avengers.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars received nominations for Sam Witwer as the voice of Darth Maul in the Voice Acting categorie, Jason Tucker for Editorial, Joel Aron for Animated Effects and Keith Kellog for Character Animation.  Unfortunately, The Clone Wars wasn’t the only show that missed out, “Archer” was nominated, but didn’t win, for General Audience Animated Television Production and Voice Acting in an Animated Television Production for Jessica Walter as Malory Archer.

Wreck-It Ralph was the the big winner with 5 awards including Animated Feature.  “Robot Chicken” also took one award for General Audience Animated Television Production for their “DC Comics Special.”
