If you missed out on some of the offerings from the Celebration VI store, you may be in luck; ThinkGeek now has several items available on their website.
Included are the talking Admiral Ackbar plush, Gamorrean Guard Piggy Bank, Tauntaun Hobby Horse, Jar Jar Whoopee Cushion, Salt & Pepper shakers and the Death Star paper lantern.
The prices are the same as they were in the store but now you’ll have to pay shipping. Not sure how limited these may be so if you’re interested, we’d advise heading over and putting in your order and not waiting too long.
Darth Malgus Premium Format
Last Thursday, August 23rd, saw the pre-order go up for the new Sideshow Premium Format Darth Malgus statue.
The Sideshow exclusive edition will include an alternate, unmasked head. Both the exclusive and regular editions retail for $374.99 with the payment plan available. They’re scheduled for release in March 2013.
Sideshow also has the Celebration VI exclusive Commander Ganch figure in stock for $124.99.
Hallmark showed off their new line of 2013 ornaments this past weekend and they include:
- Jango Fett
- Jabba the Hutt with C-3PO
- Ewok 2-pack
- Lego Yoda
With the exception of Jango Fett, 2013 will be heavy on Return of the Jedi characters, which makes sense since it’s the 30th anniversary of the movie.
Hallmark also sold an exclusive ornament set featuring Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ponda Baba. The set was limited to 2,000 pieces and was $35. The ornaments are really popular and the long lines all weekend to purchase the exclusive or pick up the buttons being handed out was testament to that.
Patches are a staple at Celebrations and this year was a banner year, there were at least five puzzle sets along with several excellent releases in the Celebration Store. But the individual fans really stepped up this year and knocked it out of the park.
I was honored to be one of the people with a patch to hand out or trade away and I picked up some really cool patches in return. Elvis Trooper had a 10th anniversary patch, Jason West had a new Mad Brownz offering (and pin! more on that later), the Mandalorian Mercs celebrated five years and Chewie’s Cargo Net teamed with Yoda’s Holonet to offer a nice 2-character patch.
The DC Star Wars Collecting Club, besides being part of the Fan Club patch, also offered a really cool Millennium Falcon shaped puzzle patch made up with pieces that represented seven of the club member’s own websites. The Fan Clubs had an animated style movie poster in six pieces and six Fan Sites joined on what was referred to as the Death Star patch.
The Celebration Store had the official Celebration VI patch along with several clever pieces, including Bossk’s Bail Bonds and Jabba’s Palace Maintenance.
Check out the photos below to take a look at just some of the patches we picked up over the weekend at Star Wars Celebration VI.
Surprisingly, the Imperial Holocron patch was pretty popular today. Had several people track me down on the convention floor and handed out a lot to friends and at the Collectors Archive party.
If you’re still looking for the patch, look for my custom badge. I’ll be wearing a blue shirt on Friday and will be at the Hasbro panel at noon and at the Collectors’ Swap Meet & Social.
Saturday, I’ll be in the Pennsylvania Star Wars Collecting Society (PSWCS) booth from 5-7.
Cartamundi tweeted two new photos of their Celebration VI exclusives today. One is the Star Wars Ace of Spaces Collection and the other is the Episode I 3D Royal Flush.
Update: Cartamundi posted a price list for their Celebration excluisves and the Royal Flush set is $150 while the Ace of Space Collection is $250. Edition #1 of each will be auctioned on Twitter (@Cartamundi_USA) and matching sets of 2 – 25 will be available at the convention. Numbers 26 – 50 will be sold individually. Cartamundi will also be selling a selection of their playing cards. Stop by their booth, #320, for all the cool items.

It’s become a tradition for several of the Fan Clubs to get together to give away an exclusive patch at Celebration and this year they’re at it again with the most ambition piece yet; a 6 piece patch that, when put together, creates a large Clone Wars themed piece of art.
This year the Pennsylvania Star Wars Collecting Society (PSWCS) has partnered with the Ohio, DC and Seattle collecting clubs, the Grand Florida Alliance and the Celebration Collecting Track.
Check out the press release below for more information, including booth assignments for where you can pick up your Celebration VI Clone Wars patch.
Six Groups Celebrate CVI with an Exclusive Patch Set
Five Star Wars collecting clubs along with the Celebration VI Collecting Track will mark Celebration VI by giving away sections of an exclusive 6-piece patch set. When assembled, the pieces form a Clone Wars themed movie poster. The poster features characters from all six movies of the Star Wars saga along with characters from The Clone Wars TV series. The clubs participating in this project are the Washington DC Area Star Wars Collecting Club (DCSWCC), the Ohio Star Wars Collectors Club (OSWCC), the Pennsylvania Star Wars Collecting Society (PSWCS), the Star Wars Grand Florida Alliance (SWGFA), the Seattle ARea Lucasfilm Artifact Collectors Club (SARLACC) and the Celebration VI Collecting Track. Lead designer Bill Cable of PSWCS conceived the idea for the patch, and completed the design with substantial assistance from leaders of the participating groups.
All six patches will be available exclusively at Star Wars Celebration VI and will be free to attendees. Because quantities are extremely limited, the patches will be given away one per person. Four clubs will be distributing their patch pieces at their Fan Group booths on the convention floor. Please visit their web sites for additional information about the clubs.
