Lego Owns the Holiday Season
We live in a relatively small market when it comes to toys, yet every year we’re blown away by how well Lego sells locally at Christmas. Lego actually sells well here all year, especially when new sets drop in January and August, but the near sellout at Target this year is pretty standard for the holidays.
The first photo shows what’s left of the City, Creator, Scooby Do, Superhero, and Jurassic World sets while the second has Ninjago and Chima on the left (just out of the picture, but they were empty too) along with Minecraft and then Star Wars. There were only three Star Wars sets left in the main aisle and they were all from the new Buildable Figures line. There were a couple Rebels Imperial Assault Carriers left on an end cap but it was a near clean sweep for Star Wars Lego.
The local Walmart store had more sets still in stock overall, but Creator, especially, was nearly wiped clean.
It was definitely a good year for Lego here and looking at what they have coming in 2016, we can probably expect more of this next year.
