EW Gets an Early Look at The Force Awakens Toys
Yesterday, EW.com posted an early look at three upcoming toys from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The only downside, they’re all First Order Stormtroopers.
Debuting at San Diego Comic-Con, Hasbro will have a 6″ Black Series Stormtrooper in special packaging. He’ll be sold at the HasbroToyShop.com booth during the show for $25.99 and a limited amount will be online after the show.
Coming in January 2016, Lego will add the first The Force Awakens Constraction Stormtrooper to their collection. The figure will be about 9″ tall and has 81 pieces. Lego debuted several new Constraction figures during Celebration Anaheim and posted a September release date for them so we don’t know yet if Lego will have other The Force Awakens Constraction figures then or if they won’t show until after the film opens. There will be several System sets for the new movie and we believe they’ll be available in September with the major toy launch.
Finally, Hot Wheels will have a First Order Stormtrooper character car available for sale during San Diego Comic-Con. They’ve already posted to Twitter that the Stormtrooper will be available at retail later. We’re not sure if there will be any packaging changes or updates to the car but, as with the Darth Vader car last year, if your interest is in the toy and not the packaging, we don’t think you’ll be left out.

Hasbro has issued a press release and additional photos of the Black Series First Order Stormtrooper. The price was originally reported on EW.com as $24.99 but Hasbro’s release has him at $25.99. The release is below and we added the photos to the gallery above.
