DCSWCC Announces Ninth Charity Pin
The Washington DC Metro Area Star Wars Collecting Club (DCSWCC) wishes to announce their ninth biennial charity lapel pin. The 2020 pin features Princess Leia in her white Hoth battle gear with Cloud City topped by a Washington DC skyline. Ninth in the series of high-quality soft enamel pins, and officially licensed by Lucasfilm Ltd., each pin is individually stamped and numbered – only 500 will ever be made!
All proceeds benefit the House of Ruth, Washington D.C. chapter. House of Ruth’s comprehensive continuum of support and services empowers women, children, and families to rebuild their lives and heal from trauma, abuse, and homelessness. DCSWCC has a rich history of supporting children’s and family charities in the Washington DC region. Their other charity pins featured Yoda, Chewbacca, the animated Boba Fett, Luke on his tauntaun, R2-D2, Commander Cody, BB-8, and jedi Luke, and have raised over $38,000 for organizations including Children’s National Medical Center, The Children’s Inn at NIH, Believe in Tomorrow Children’s Foundation, and Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors.
