Celebration VI Collecting Track Giveaway

The Collecting Track at Celebration has become just as famous for the giveaways as it has for the content.  Celebration VI will continue the trend with this year’s Star Tots.

In 1978 – 1979, Kenner created prototypes of four figures, and drawings for more, for a proposed line of unarticulated preschool toys called Star Tots.  They even created an X-Wing Fighter and Landspeeder mockup before the line was shelved.

For Celebration VI, Gus Lopez and his associates have taken that abandoned line of toys and used it as a blueprint for a set of 20 metal figures that will be carded on vintage style card backs.  Each figure is done in the same style as a pin or challenge coin, using enamel coloring.

There are 20 Collecting Track panels scheduled for Celebration and each will feature one Star Tots figure.  If past Celebrations are any indication, we can probably also expect one or two surprises to go along with the carded figures.

So far, 15 of the figures have been previewed with five left to be revealed before Celebration.
