Prequel Movies in 3D Postponed

It was announced on Monday that Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith have had their 3D releases, scheduled for later this year, “postponed.”  The reason given in the confirmation post on StarWars.com is that the focus of Lucasfilm will be directed at the production of Episode VII.

The news article closes with the promise that further plans for the 3D releases will be forthcoming.  It had been suggested as recently as the UK Toy Fair event that 2014 would see the release of the Original Trilogy in 3D but with this announcement it would seem that’s no longer happening.
