2019 Lego Sets Arriving At Retail

Yesterday we took a trip around town to see how retail stores were starting off the new year and the main thing we spotted were new Lego sets. Barnes & Noble had many of the new Star Wars sets available along with Lego Movie 2 and the new Overwatch line. Walmart also had Lego Movie 2 and Overwatch, including better pricing and some sets B&N didn’t have, but there were no new Star Wars sets when we were there. Target, on the other hand, hadn’t stocked any new 2019 sets.

On the Star Wars front, B&N had the new Inferno Squad and Praetorian Guard Battle Packs, Microfighters Escape Pod vs Dewback and TIE Fighter Attack, 4+ X-Wing Starfighter, Droid Gunship, and Death Star Escape.

The Overwatch sets included 75974 Bastion, 75973 D.VA & Reinhardt, 75970 Tracer vs Widowmaker, and 75971 Hanzo vs Genji. The Bastion and D.VA & Reinhardt mech sets are really interesting looking and should be fun even if you’re not a fan of the game. Walmart had all of those sets and 75972 Dorado Showdown, which we forgot to take a photo of.

Between B&N and Walmart, we saw most of the new Lego Movie 2 sets but neither had Benny’s Space Squad, which was disappointing. Walmart had 70832 and 70833, Emmet and Lucy’s Builder Box! respectively, along with a new polybag, 30527 Lucy vs. Alien Invader. The other sets in the photos are listed below:

At least one of the new Creator sets was in stock at Barnes & Noble, 31091 Shuttle Transporter, and new Friends sets were on the shelf as well. There are a lot of fun new releases for 2019 and no matter your interest, you should be able to find something interesting to build. We picked up Emmet and Benny’s Workshop and the Lucy polybag and built both last night. Even with the Workshop set being a 4+ release, it’s a fun build with both the car and Classic Space style ship being fantastic models.
