Lego held their Toy Fair event this morning and showed off  new sets which we can expect later in the year, most in August.

Attendee Exclusive

Every year Lego hands out an exclusive set to attendees and this year’s is a set advertising the upcoming Yoda Chronicles TV special, and features Yoda on the street in New York City.  Also handed out was a carded Darth Vader with medal minifigure.  Vader will be included with the the DVD release of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out special which is scheduled for March 26th.

Set Details

Shown off during the presentation were the new sets that had been rumored up until now, including:

  • 75015 Corporate Alliance Tank Droid: 271 pieces, $19.99 (Jango Fett, Clone Trooper, Battle Droid)
  • 75016 Homing Spider Droid: 295 pieces, $29.99 (Stass Allie, Clone Trooper, 2x Super Battle Droid)
  • 75017 Duel on Geonosis: 391 pieces, $39.99 (Yoda, Count Dooku, Poggle, Commando Droid)
  • 75018 Jek-14’s Stealth Starfighter: 550 pieces, $69.99 (Jek-14, Separatist Bounty Hunter, Special Forces Clone Trooper, R4-G0)

Notes on the Sets

The Mandalorian Speeder includes a Darth Maul minifigure with the mechanical legs as seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series.

Duel on Geonosis includes Count Dooku with the first ever Force Lightning accessory and Yoda has a rod that can be used to flip him around during their duel.

Lego’s card for the Republic Gunship showed the price at $119.99 but our reporter said that the set will retail for $149.99.  With the piece count at 1175 pieces, the $150 price tag sounds more correct but we’ll have to clarify the price point on this set.
