Sideshow announced a Premium Format Snowtrooper statue back in December but we hadn’t heard much about it until this afternoon when they tweeted a sneak peek of, well, just the feet for now.
The pre-orders for both the regular and exclusive editions of Sideshow’s new Premium Format Chewbacca statue are live. As we mentioned on Tuesday, the price is $384.99 for both versions with the exclusive coming with an extra arm and Blastech DLT-19 Rifle.
A non-refundable deposit of $38.50 is due at the time of order and the payment plan is also being offered. Chewbacca is scheduled to ship in September 2013.
If you need a 23″ tall statue of a walking carpet, Sideshow has you covered. This Thursday, Sideshow will put their new Premium Format Chewbacca statue up for pre-order with the release of the weekly newsletter.
The exclusive edition of Chewbacca will come with an alternate hand holding a Blastech DLT-19 Rifle while the regular edition will come with his iconic bowcaster. The good news is that our original thoughts on pricing ($400 – $450) were a little high, Sideshow is bringing in both versions of Chewiee at $384.99.
Look for Sideshow to offer their payment plan for this statue and we’d also bet on there being a non-refundable deposit at the time of order.
Officially announced last year at San Diego Comic-Con, Sideshow updated last night with an image of the upcoming Premium Format Chewbacca statue.
No additional details were included, but if the pattern stays true, we’ll probably see production photos of him next Tuesday with a pre-order on Thursday. Head over to Sideshow’s website to see the full picture and sign up for alerts so you’ll know first when Chewiee goes up for pre-order.
The Sideshow 1:4 Scale Premium Format Checklist has been updated with the most current information and has had info for the Mythos statue line added.
The Mythos statues are not listed with a specific scale by Sideshow, but range from approximately 18″ to 21″ tall which is approximately 1:5, or similar in scale to the Premium Format line. Since the releases for these statues will probably not be as frequent as some of Sideshow’s other lines, we felt a separate page for them wasn’t necessary at this time.
For the final day of their 12 Days of Sideshow, we have our first look at the new Premium Format Chewbacca statue. This was originally teased at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con and he’s been one of the most anticipated releases.

Sideshow is in the midst of their annual 12 Days of Sideshow event where they announce new licenses and upcoming product each day from Christmas through January 5th. Yesterday, they announced the Premium Format Snowtrooper will be coming sometime in the new year.

Sideshow has posted photos and pre-orders for their new Shaak Ti Premium Format Statue. Featuring Shaak Ti from her appearance in The Force Unleashed video game, the statue is about 19″ tall and includes a detailed base.
The exclusive edition will include an alternate hand which holds Starkiller’s lightsaber hilt. Both versions are $349.99 and are scheduled to ship in June 2013. Sideshow’s payment plan is available for both and there is a non-refundable $35 deposit due at time of order.

Sideshow debuted a new Premium Format statue of Shaak Ti during their San Diego Comic-Con appearance and yesterday they announced the pre-order date. Shaak Ti, from her appearance in the Force Unleashed video game, will go on sale next Thursday, October 18th. A full photo preview will be posted next Tuesday in The Experience on Sideshow’s website.
Sideshow debuted their new Darth Malgus Premium Format statue at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con and now they’ve posted a new teaser image to their site.
