Neat-Oh! creates toy storage bins for kids and has several licenses including Hot Wheels, Barbie and our favorite, Lego Star Wars.  You may have already seen their Battle Bridge Carry Case & Playmat, the Millennium Falcon Minifigure Case or TIE Fighter Carry Case & Playmat at stores such as Toys-R-Us and Target, but in 2013 we’re in for several new products that include some excellent art you may recognize.

Messenger Bags

Two new Messenger Bags will be in stores shortly.  One features the image of Darth Vader on the outside but opens to reveal a piece of Ralph McQuarrie artwork depicting Vader’s Duel with Luke Skywalker on Bespin.

Their Stormtrooper Bag features the classic white Trooper on the outside while the inside is decorated with Tsuneo Sanda’s Stormtrooper artwork.

A third bag, Yoda, was shown in prototype form, note the cardboard ears in the photo, and hasn’t had the interior artwork picked out yet.  Joe showed them some photos of Jerry Vanderstelt’s Yoda artwork so maybe we’ll see another well-known Star Wars artist featured in the future.

Backpack

Neat-Oh! has an X-Wing Backpack coming in the near future and it also includes artwork on this inside, this time by Dave Dorman.  The art is taken from the cover of Dark Horse Comics’ “X-Wing Rogue Squadron: The Rebel Opposition” #3.

Bins

Also on display at their booth, Neat-Oh! had collapsible storage bins and some of the cases we mentioned above.  The bins feature more generic Star Wars graphics while the playmats feature graphics that can be used as a playset for the Lego sets.

Other

Fans of other Lego themes will be happy to know that Neat-Oh! also is producing storage bins for Ninjago, Friends and the new Chima lines.

Stopped in the local Target store this afternoon and found that the Star Wars sets were all marked down about 20%.  Not a bad deal on a couple of the sets, such as the new Jabba’s Palace (9516) which is only $95.99 this week.

Plenty of the City sets are on markdown also, but some of them aren’t as much as 20% off.  Still worth checking out.

The set shown includes the Rancor along with minifigures of Luke Skywalker, Malakili and a Gamorrean Guard. Yesterday’s video of the new B-Wing gave us an excellent look at the toy but Gizmodo has the goods on the toy’s stats. The B-Wing, 10227, will retail for $200 and includes 1,486 pieces. The completed model is 26 inches long and 15 inches wide with the wings open. When displayed on the stand, it’s about 17 inches tall.

The B-Wing Starfighter will be released this October to Lego stores and online via Shop.Lego.com.
