The pre-orders for both the regular and exclusive editions of Sideshow’s new Premium Format Chewbacca statue are live. As we mentioned on Tuesday, the price is $384.99 for both versions with the exclusive coming with an extra arm and Blastech DLT-19 Rifle.
A non-refundable deposit of $38.50 is due at the time of order and the payment plan is also being offered. Chewbacca is scheduled to ship in September 2013.
If you need a 23″ tall statue of a walking carpet, Sideshow has you covered. This Thursday, Sideshow will put their new Premium Format Chewbacca statue up for pre-order with the release of the weekly newsletter.
The exclusive edition of Chewbacca will come with an alternate hand holding a Blastech DLT-19 Rifle while the regular edition will come with his iconic bowcaster. The good news is that our original thoughts on pricing ($400 – $450) were a little high, Sideshow is bringing in both versions of Chewiee at $384.99.
Look for Sideshow to offer their payment plan for this statue and we’d also bet on there being a non-refundable deposit at the time of order.
Officially announced last year at San Diego Comic-Con, Sideshow updated last night with an image of the upcoming Premium Format Chewbacca statue.
No additional details were included, but if the pattern stays true, we’ll probably see production photos of him next Tuesday with a pre-order on Thursday. Head over to Sideshow’s website to see the full picture and sign up for alerts so you’ll know first when Chewiee goes up for pre-order.
