Lego & Hasbro Nominated for 2014 Toy of the Year Awards
The 2014 Toy of the Year Awards nominations have been announced and voting is currently open. Of the 12 categories, Hasbro has collected eight nominations over six categories while Lego has five nominations in five categories, some overlapping with Hasbro.
While no Star Wars items were among the nominations, Transformers Construct-Bots did get a nod in the Boy category. Below is a list of the categories and items picked from Lego and Hasbro.

Mattel also has six nominations which includes their Hot Wheels and Monster High lines while Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Minecraft, the game, were recognized in the Property category.
The new Skylanders SWAP Force release, by Activision Publishing, Inc., has several nominations across several categories making it the single most nominated release.
