Disney Droid Factory

Today is the launch day for the new Droid Factory station in the Tatooine Traders store at Disney’s Hollywood Studios park in Orlando, Florida. First rumored a month ago and just confirmed in the last week, it’s exciting to see one of the most popular action figure themes come to life again, even if it’s an exclusive. Here are some details on the droids.

• There are approximately 71 pieces including:
  • Domes
  • Bodies
  • Legs: left, right and center
  • Themed hats
• Droids are priced at $11.95 for one or two for $18.95
• Clamshells with a paper insert and a bubble for either 1 or 2 droids are available
• Sticker sheets with letters, numbers and symbols are available at checkout so you can name your droids and customize the packaging
• R6, R8 & R9 droid domes are exclusive to Disney

It was also note that not all the parts were available for opening day and additional colors may be available later. There are also additional hats coming later in the year, including Yoda, Goofy, pirate and Indiana Jones-style fedora.
